英文歌词则在1862年出版，由苏格兰音乐家Thomas Oliphant创作。首次出版于1862年，收录于约翰•汤玛士的Welsh Melodies之第二卷。该书共有四卷，包含Deck the Halls威尔士语歌词，由John Jones作词。直得注意的是，Deck the Halls中的“Deck”，是指动词“装饰”，而非名词“甲板”。
